Landscape Border in Forsythe Park, Monroe

This Monroe, Louisiana homeowner had a beautifully landscaped property near Forsythe Park but struggled with grass creeping into garden beds and gravel migrating onto the lawn. They needed a durable, low-maintenance border that would stand up to Louisiana's humid climate and heavy rainfall.

We designed and installed 275 linear feet of landscape border curbing featuring a cobblestone stamp pattern with pewter gray coloring. The pattern adds old-world charm that complements the neighborhood's traditional architecture, while the gray tone pairs well with the home's white-and-gray color scheme.

Given the region's clay-heavy soil and frequent downpours, we placed the curbing on a compacted gravel base and applied a penetrating sealer for superior moisture resistance. The borders define garden beds along the front walkway, around a large pecan tree, and along the entire driveway edge. The homeowner was impressed by how quickly the installation went—just one day—and how it immediately gave the property a manicured, upscale look.
